Staph Control™ is a colorless and odorless disinfectant/fungicide/virucide is used to kill dangerous organisms that include HIV type 1-strain HTLV IIIB, Salmonella choleraesuis and Staphylococcous aureus (multiple strains of staph including MRSA). This product is safe to use unlike many of the products on the market today. Staph Control™ is not dangerous to pets and people and does not require rinsing or wiping down after application.

What is Silver Dihydrogen Citrate (SDC)

SDC (Silver Dihydrogen Citrate) is a core ingredient in Staph Control™. It took nearly ten years to develop. Generations of silver ions are a product of the disassociation of the weak organic acid (citric acid), contained in SDC. They bind to particular active sites on microbial proteins where those sites contain thio groups. Once introduced into the microbial environment, SDC functions in the following two ways; when the silver ions bind to the microbial cell membrane proteins' active sites (thio groups), the microbial membrane malfunctions enabling more silver ions to penetrate microbial organisms. The microorganism dies from cell lysis and/or cessation of metabolic function membrane proteins. When the silver ions enter the microorganism or as citric acid provides essential nutrient for cell activities, the silver then starts to unfold the microbes' DNA strands rendering it dysfunctional. Metabolic and reproductive functions are stopped and microbe dies. The toxicity rating of this SDC based solution is non-toxic, non-caustic, colorless, odorless, and tasteless and does not produce toxic fumes. At the same time, SDC is highly toxic to bacteria, fungus and viruses. SDC is non-toxic to humans and animals. The EPA toxicity categorization of antimicrobial products range from Category I down to Category IV with IV which is least toxic. Silver Dihydrogen Citrate is rated as Category IV while traditional disinfectants are Categories I & II. SDC can last for many years as a stable product, unlike most other disinfectants that have a much shorter shelf life. The longer life span of the SDC is because it contains ionized silver, naturally stable remaining effective for long period of time as an biologically active antimicrobial action. One outstanding feature of the SDC is it can last up to 24 hour and be very effective in killing organisms. Most other common household and industrial sanitizing solutions don’t last that long. These other market products may take up to ten minutes in killing harmful bacteria, but Staph Control does it in less than 2 minutes. There are no harmful residues that need to be rinsed making this product an environmentally green solution. Also, important to note,  the manufacturing process produces zero discharge and no waste or byproducts.
