When in the wilderness or just on the road driving, you can have fresh, clean water. The 22 Oz Sport Berkey Portable Water Purifier is constructed with safe non-leaching LDPE #4 that is BPA-free. This long-lasting unit offers convenient and portable water filtration with medical grade technology.

The 22 oz Sport Berkey has a highly advanced filtering technology developed by premier qualified water filtering researchers and specialists and has been rigorously tested to insure the purest of water. The filter element removes contaminants by a surface phenomenon known as "adsorption". Absorption creates molecular attraction of substances to the surface of the media. When pressed, the sport berkey bottle water is pushed through the filter. The quality and volume of media used establishes the rate of adsorption. The flow rate is controlled to insure the maximum time of water exposure through the filter for the greatest volume removal of toxic chemicals caused by pollution from industry and agriculture. This exclusive filter element is infused with proprietary "absorbing" media that promotes IONIC "absorption" of the tiniest of pollutants within the micro-porous element capable of removing aluminum, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, mercury, and other dangerous heavy metals.

Note: If using a source of water that might contain extreme bacteriological or viral contamination, it is recommended that two drops of plain chlorinated bleach or iodine be added to each refill before filtering. This will kill minute pathogens such as viruses. The disinfectant will then be filtered from the water entirely removing its odor, color and taste. 

Care and Use

     Fill the Sport Berkey Portable Water Purifier with water, screw on cap and tighten securely to eliminate leaks. Flush water through filter by pulling down lever, so that straw is exposed, and squeeze water through filter & out the straw. Repeat this flushing process twice before drinking. This removes excess process dust from the filter. After 2 flushes, rinse the bottle & cap. Your sport berkey bottle is now ready for use. Enjoy!

Maintenance and Storage

The 22 oz Sport Berkey Portable Water Purifier is designed to last for 50 years. When not in use for extended periods of time, flush the unit with a chlorinated solution of 1/4 tsp. per one half gallon of water. Allow this solution to dry thoroughly with the cap removed. Re-assemble and stow. Do not allow the sport berkey to freeze, be placed in microwave oven and have hot water run through the filter.

Note: All contaminants that this filter has the ability to remove or reduce may not necessarily be in the user's water supply. 

Warranty

    The manufacturer, New Millennium Concepts, Ltd., warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 6 months from date of purchase.  New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. will replace or repair any product that it deems is not properly functioning during the stated warranty period.
