Berkey Solar Charger

This eco friendly Berkey MP Solar Charger generates free electricity from the sun. About the size of a book when folded, this portable unit stores in a briefcase, handbag or glove compartment. It has a battery container with six rechargeable batteries that provides for a flexible and convenient source of auxiliary backup power at night or whenever sunlight is not available.

The Berkey LED lamps incredibly have an average life of more than 11 years with continuous use. They can be spotted a mile away in the dark because they shine so bright using little energy. Although more expensive that traditional light bulbs, the LED technology is worth every penny with power consumption saving hundreds of dollars in replacement batteries alone. During the day, Berkey MP Solar charger can recharge the Berkey Base batteries for later use at night. With it’s own internal batteries it can be used to power The Berkey Light LED Base.

The Berkey MP Solar charger has countless other powering applications that include radios, mobile phones, disc (cassette) players, digital cameras, PDA's, shavers, etc. With voltage selections of 6V, 7.2V and 12V, it is many power adapters in one. The six powerful Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries becomes a flexible and convenient source of auxiliary backup power at night or whenever sunlight is not available.

Simple to use, the Berkey MP Solar charger is placed at a sunny location. Choose the voltage output you need, plug in your application and the Berkey MP Solar charger begins charging. There is a built-in indicator light that confirms when charging is complete.

Remove the equipment you were charging and the system automatically begins charging its own powerful Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries until the "battery full" indicator light turns, indicating a full charge. Simply plug your application into the outlet jack and your instant backup power source is ready for use.

Notes:
1) Batteries degrade when they become overheated. When charging the Berkey Light LED Base or any other application that has rechargeable batteries, if possible, it is strongly recommended that the application (such as the Berkey Light LED Base) be placed in a shady area to prevent the rechargeable batteries from overheating.

2) To prevent the rechargeable batteries within the Berkey MP Solar charger from overheating, it is recommended that they be charged no longer than 4-6 hours at a time.

Warranty

The manufacturer, New Millennium Concepts, Ltd., warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 6 months from date of purchase. New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. will replace or repair any product that it deems is not properly functioning during the stated warranty period.
